Replay: It Goes Down in the DMs!
Friday Jul 14, 2023
Friday Jul 14, 2023
Join Jeanette as she talks about how she enjoys using DMs to interact with people and build relationships. And she thinks you should, too, especially if you own a business. Get into the DMs and start chatting with people to get more opportunities for growth. If people like what they see, they may decide to buy from you, hire you, or promote you; if not, you'll still make some new friends.
Jeanette also emphasized the importance of engaging with people in your most authentic self and communicating with them in the DMs as a real person and not in a pushy, spammy, or sales-y manner. Sales should not be forced; instead, they should occur naturally as people come to trust you and your brand.
Join us and relive one of your favorite Unapologetically Unstoppable episodes!
"That's what people like misconstrue about, like getting in the DMS is that they think they're just talking to like nobody. Hello, you're talking to a person, a living, breathing, thinking, feeling person on the other end."
"The real game is making friendships and relationships..."
"Just be you, boo. Step into that actual person that you actually are and be that."
"I'm in it for people who legit want to change lives, for people who legit want to build relationships that change people's lives."
In this episode:
- How sending DMs can be the easiest way to make real connections and grow your business
- The importance of showing your authentic self when communicating with others
- Why you need to avoid being a salesperson in the DMs

“Gluttony is a sin that the church doesn't like to acknowledge because we like to eat.”
“I stepped out on faith, it was super scary, but God has taken care of us, and I have no doubt that He will provide.”
“Have grace for yourself. Don't condemn yourself. But also, there's nothing wrong in wanting to better yourself, while also loving yourself through the process.”

#100: Rest Is A Gift From God
Wednesday Jul 05, 2023
Wednesday Jul 05, 2023
In honor of the podcast’s 100th episode, Jeanette opens up about the unexpected, monumental, and even terrifying decision she recently made for her life and her God-owned business as a result of her recent conversations with God.
It is easy to lose sight of God's desire for us to slow down in the midst of our hectic daily routines. Some of us may regard rest as a lack of productivity, when in fact it is one of the gifts that God bestowed upon us from the beginning. He gave us the Sabbath to rest, renew, and refocus so that we could serve Him better. Jeanette talks about how God reminded her that she was not keeping one of His Ten Commandments.
Tune in and be inspired as Jeanette puts her full trust in God, and even though she’s scared, she will listen and OBEY, because that’s what a good steward of God does.
“God said: Look I need you to trust Me.”
“So I am going to obey (God)... and to be quite honest with you, it scares me more than anything.”
“Rest is not a form of absence; it's a form of renewal. It's a form of that fertile void where things start to grow on the inside.”
“I know God is gonna show up cause He always does. I know God's gonna make this business His business, cause it already is. And when I submit and surrender the things that I love to God and give it to Him, He always makes them better.”
In this episode:
- The importance of listening to God when He calls
- How to be a good steward of God by obeying and trusting Him
- A reminder that rest is a gift from God
- When you surrender things to God, He makes them better

#99: Don’t Shoot the Messenger
Monday Jul 03, 2023
Monday Jul 03, 2023
In today’s world, which often emphasizes external validation and comparison, as humans, we generally feel the need to conform to others’ expectations and societal norms. We tend to forget that God sees past all of our flaws and imperfections. Jeanette reminds us that God can use anyone, regardless of how broken, hurt, or damaged they may be. In fact, He uses anyone who is willing to answer His call and surrender.
Tune in as Jeanette recounts how she, too, had to give up control and trust in God during a trying time in her life. Trusting God and taking His Word to heart makes surrender possible, but it is still not easy. We must always be ready to respond to God's call to action at any time.
Always keep in mind that whatever we do in this world, we do as the hands and feet of Jesus.
“Sometimes we as people, as human beings, forget that God has used so many different types of people, non-traditional people, to share His message.”
“We think that God can't use us because we've been hurt... we're not good enough to be the messenger for God. And that is not true.”
“I really want us to all remember not to judge ourselves or others... If God can use strippers and prostitutes, He can use us.”
“The hardest part is fully surrendering something or one part of our lives over to God.”
In this episode:
- How God uses different types of people to be the bearers of His word
- The importance of not judging ourselves and others
- Embracing the idea that God can use you whenever He pleases, even if you’re not perfect
- Surrendering yourself to God

Friday Jun 30, 2023
Friday Jun 30, 2023
What does it really mean to be "equally yoked"? And why is it crucial to every marriage or partnership? Jeanette explains how lopsidedness in faith and relationships can be avoided if partners share the same mindset and are moving in the same direction.
It is common knowledge that many famous couples throughout history, literature, and the Bible, like Mark Antony and Cleopatra, Romeo and Juliet, Abraham and Sarah, and Beyoncé and Jay-Z have left an indelible mark on the world. But in this episode, Jeanette will tell you more about the power couple she ultimately aspires to be… A couple that fully exemplifies being life partners not only in marriage but also in business and in ministry—Priscilla and Aquila.
Get ready for deep love and intimacy by tuning in and letting this faith-filled episode inspire your relationships to be equally yoked.
“When you have a partner, you need to be equally yoked. You need to have the same mindset of where you're going. You are going to complete each other because you guys are partners in life.”
“There was a whole period in my life where I want me and my husband to be Beyonce and JayZ… Nope! Not anymore… I want us to be Priscilla and Aquila. I wanna be THAT power couple.”
“She (Priscilla) is her own person doing her own things, but she’s partnering with not only God, but her husband.”
“They are the couple to aspire to. They were literal life partners and their partners in ministry, money-making, and in marriage.”
“When I see relationships like Priscilla and Aquila's, I'm just ready. I am ready for deep love and intimacy.”

#97: Are you working IN your business or ON your business?
Wednesday Jun 28, 2023
Wednesday Jun 28, 2023
Have you ever experienced preparation paralysis? In today’s episode, Jeanette emphasizes the importance of being present for your business rather than focusing solely on the back end. It is essential to set up your business for success by taking action and working on the things that will help you show your authentic self in front of your audience, rather than focusing on the smallest details. Doing so will allow you to establish a solid foundation to grow your community.
For coaches like Jeanette, remember that YOU are the product. It is crucial that you always show up so that people can see the services and expertise you offer; otherwise, they will have no idea what they are missing.
Tune in as Jeanette explains how she will redo her schedule and batch her tasks in order to combat preparation paralysis and procrastination. Designing a workflow that feels more aligned with who you really are is also important.
“When we're coaches, we are the product. So if I’m not showing the product every day, me, people will forget that I'm available for purchase.”
“Instead of working IN my business for the next couple of days, I'll be working ON things that will help me stay strategically in the right place and in the right frame of mind.”
“There are a lot of things I cannot do, but setting myself up for success is one of those things.”
“I don't like doing bare minimum work… I want to show up in the full version of myself, like the most authentic way that I'm supposed to be.”
In this episode:
- The difference between working IN your business or ON your business
- How to get unstuck in preparation paralysis
- The importance of showing up for your business in your most authentic self
- How to fight procrastination by structuring your calendar and batching the things you need to do
- Finding the brain function that works best for you
